We like to think of plantation shutters as “furniture for your windows.” Our custom made interior shutters are manufactured locally. It typically takes 4-6 weeks from the date of order to the installation. Every plantation shutter is custom measured and manufactured to ensure a perfect fit at an affordable cost. There are two materiels used in shutters, wood and vinyl. There are also several options available including tilting styles, louver sizes, and a variety of crown molding options for the window frame.

• The most common question we get regarding shutters is to go with the poplar wood or the vinyl. The kiln dried painted wood shutter is the best shutter we can sell, period. It has a lifetime warranty whereas the vinyl has a ten year warranty. Our max width in a wood panel is 36 inches, that's 6 inches larger than the vinyl, because it's lighter and puts less stress on the hinges and frame. We can paint the wood any color, so it matches your trim perfectly. The vinyl comes in two genaric colors, white and off-white. There are two places where we do reccomend the vinyl shutter, the shower and the garage. These are two places where there is excessive humidity and the shutter may be getting wet often. Then it makes sense to go with the vinyl shutter. If your window isn't going to be outside, or getting splashed on, get the wood shutter, it's the best we can sell, and it's only a $1 more per square foot.
